This Thursday is the North West Cup Final v Warrington. The game will take place at the Liverpool Soccer Centre, Walton Hall Avenue and will kick off at 7pm. All boys need to arrive as close to 6pm as possible.
Tuesday is the Merseyside Schools County FA Cup Final at Prenton Park and will kick off at 5:30pm. I will email all your schools requesting permission for you to be released early so that you can arrive at 4:20pm. There is a pub which will be open for any early arrivals on the same side of the ground as the main reception. Mine is a lager top, by the way!!!
As there are two finals that evening we are on a strict timetable:
4.15pm – MCSFA officials arrive (Reception / VIP Car Park).
4.30pm – U14 teams / match officials arrive (VIP Car Park) – parents / supporters park in Main Car Park (no passes needed / no charge).
Final is Sefton (in home changing room as league winners) v Liverpool (in away changing room as league runners-up).
Where possible, I have allocated preferred squad numbers. It is important for the purposes of the match programme, the press and other representatives that you stick to these squad numbers.
5.00pm – U14 teams warm up on pitch.
5.30pm – U14 NDS Cup Final – 35 mins each way (stay on pitch at half-time). Trophy shared if level after 70 mins. Presentations in front of Directors’ Box asap after final whistle (MCSFA Chairman, Norman Giannasi, and Tranmere rep, Warwick Rimmer if available). League winners, Sefton presented with U14 Snowden League Shield.
* U14 teams to vacate changing rooms as quickly as possibly – suggest space is left in each room to allow U15’s to get changed – security (safe keeping of valuables) is paramount and is the ultimate responsibility of staff i/c teams. I suggest leaving these with parents prior to entering the ground.
I will need the kit to be back in the back as soon as is possible as I need to make a quick get away!!
* Light refreshments (catering for 50) available in one of the lounges asap after final whistle (7.00pm) – for players / staff / officials only (admittance by ticket supplied by MCSFA on the day). Pay bar (if possible) from 7.00pm onwards to end of evening for parents / staff. If players / staff wish to stay and watch the U15 Final, sit in paddock area seats in front of D Box.
* All parents / supporters to enter via one turnstile into the main stand - £3.00 adults, £1.00 concession (children U16 accompanied by an adult, and senior citizens).
* Team sheet / programme issued to all on entry (no charge).
* All spectators will be located in a designated area of the Main Stand – MCSFA officials and invited guests only in D Box (no ticket necessary, guest list in Reception).
I will print out a copy of the itinerary for each of you to take away on Thursday. See you then
