Tameside Game

Lads

Apologies for the lateness of this post, but as you will know by now I lost my grandad earlier in the week, and this is the first opportunity I have had to get online and get on the blog, Ive been off work and have not accessed my work emails - so apologies if you have tried to contact me.

The game tomorrow v Tameside will be at home but it will be at Holy Family High School.

Again, I am limited to naming a squad of 18 players.

The following lads are expected to be at Holy Family for no later than 9.30am in full uniform to help set up the goals:

Callum Griffin-Mulrany, Josh Alderson, Andy Powell, Kyle Parle, Chris Doyle, Sean Smith, Gary Law, Jay Roberts, John Cheetham, Liam King, Luca Anelli, Adam Lee, Jamie Campbell, Ben Tollitt, Joe Gallagher, Chris Clarke, Jack Charnock, Jonathon Cahill.

If there are any problems, injuries etc please let John know asap and we can use the members of the squad who are unfortunate enough to not be selected this time.

The winners of tomorrows game will be away to Wolverhampton, who beat the Wirral on penalties. I look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow and sorting out a trip to the Midlands in the coming weeks.

See you tomorrow lads.

Darren.

TAMESIDE GAME OFF

Lads

Tameside have been in touch to tell us that all football in Tameside is off this weekend due to the forecasted weather.

The game HAS to be played by next Saturday either home or away.

Tameside have said we can use Burnley’s training ground and play on 3g on Wednesday, but neither myself nor John can do Wednesday night.

So, if I could sort out a pitch under lights would everyone be able to play on Thursday of next week?

Let me know on darren.melling@leisure.sefton.gov.uk or text John ASAP, and sorry for messing you around again!

The winner of the game will play away against the winner of Wolverhampton v Wirral, so lets put a performance like last seasons in, take our chances and we will enjoy another trip away in the next round.

As per the Blackburn game, I am limited to naming a squad of 18, so apologies to the lads who I have left out.

The squad is as follows:

My work phone is yet to be replaced, so if you need a lift please text John ASAP or email me tomorrow before 4pm on darren.melling@leisure.sefton.gov.uk and we can sort you out.

The game will be played at

Dukinfield Youth FC, Astley High School, Yew Tree Lane, Dukinfield, Cheshire, SK16 5BL

Their website has a route planner:

UPDATE

For those of you who weren’t at training, this Saturday is the National Cup away to Tameside.

I am awaiting on a replacement work phone, so texting me is pointless.  The best way to contact me at the moment is via email on darren.melling@leisure.sefton.gov.uk

There is a limit on how many players we can take and use, so I will decide on a squad of players and put the list up here by Friday.

Any problems please email me on the address above.

Speak to you Saturday

GAME OFF!

Lads

Have just got in from work.  I called Litherland and spoke to the duty manager.  He has told me our pitch tomorrow is unplayable and the others are going that way too.  Therefore, tomorrows game has unfortunately had to be cancelled.

As I have lost my work phone I have also lost contact numbers!  Can you please spread the word!

See you Tuesday at training.

Darren.

Training

Lads

Again I know its late notice, but training will take place tonight at Litherland on the astro.

I will be there about 15 minutes late due to a session in work, so get yourselves warmed up ready to dive straight into something when I arrive.

Its Chester this weekend in the Merseyside Cup, and Tameside pencilled in for next week in the National, so we need to start training properly and not just having games.

Speak to you later.

Darren.

Sorry about the lateness of this post lads, I have only just come home from work!

Training will take place tomorrow at Litherland on the astro beginning at 4pm.  I am coaching in Bootle until around 4pm so if you could warm yourselves up so that we can go straight into some structured stuff when I arrive that would be helpful.

Any problems or injuries please let me know by text.

See you tomorrow

Darren
